We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with legal or tax requirements, resolve disputes, and improve reliability. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data unless limited retention is required for legitimate legal, security, backup, or payment-record reasons.
5. Third-Party Services & AI Processing
We partner with trusted providers to deliver core functionality. These services operate under their own privacy policies:
AI processing note: Questions, relevant study context, uploaded learning material you choose to use, and technical request data may be sent to our AI provider to generate answers. We do not intentionally send names, emails, or account details to the AI provider. Please do not include passwords, financial details, addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive personal information in your prompts.
-
AI Model Provider (Third-Party API): Explainables uses AI models provided via a third-party API to power the tutoring engine. When you ask a question, your input is sent to this third-party AI service for processing. The AI provider may process and temporarily retain your input in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not share your name, email, or account details with the AI provider — only the question text you type is sent. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your questions.
-
AI Training & Customisation: We have configured the AI with custom system prompts incorporating NCERT curriculum content, personalised tutor personalities, and board exam context. This is done at the application layer — your individual conversations are not used to retrain the AI model.
-
Razorpay and PayPal: Process payments securely. We share payment amounts, plan details, transaction identifiers, and related billing metadata as needed to complete and support payments, never card credentials.
-
Google OAuth: Enables secure, password-free login. Google handles authentication; we receive only your verified email, name, and basic profile information needed for login.
-
Render.com: Hosts infrastructure used to operate the platform.
Summary for parents: When your child asks a question on Explainables, the question text is sent to an external AI service to generate an answer. We do not send names, emails, or personal details. The AI's response is displayed directly to the student. Always encourage students not to share personal information in their questions.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Commitment to Young Learners: Explainables is designed for students aged 11–16 years. We take their privacy seriously and comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India).
